Finally, after a long gap since the announcement of Gujarat Solar Policy for Phase I & Phase II and amid huge anticipation of Gujarat Solar Policy Phase III within the Solar arena in Gujarat there has been an recent announcement of new Solar projects in Gujarat. This time it’s the announcement of much discussed and highly praised “Canal Top Solar Power Plant Project” in Gujarat !
Recently Bids on Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPC) basis on lump sum price are invited for and on behalf of SARDAR SAROVAR NARMADA NIGAM LIMITED known as SSNNL, A Public Sector Undertaking set up by the Government of Gujarat, India from the interested, experienced and resourceful contractors from India. The selected contractor shall be fully responsible for execution of the project covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and O&M for Twenty-Five years.
The Project will be financed fully from the internal resources of SSNNL and funds made available by the Government of Gujarat as a part of the State Budgetary allocations and also the funds made available by the Govt. of India.
Some of the highlights of the project are as mentioned below :
Project Size :
10 MW Canal Top Solar Photovoltaic grid-connected power plant using crystalline silicon technology on vadodara branch canal and it’s Operation & Maintenance (O&M) for 25 years.
Estimated Cost :
Rs.90.00 Crores for EPC work & Rs.22.25 Crores for O&M work for 25 years.
Tender Fee :
Tender fee of Rs.30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand only) in the form of Account Payee Demand Draft.
Pre-Bid conference on 17/10/2013 at 1500 hrs at Gandhinagar
Technical and Financial Bids must be submitted online on Website : www.ssnnl.nprocure.com latest by 18.00 Hrs on 07-11-2013 & last date for submission of physical documents along with Tender fee and EMD will be 8/11/2013.
Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) :
EMD of Rs. 90,00,000/- (Rupees Ninety lakhs only) shall be submitted in any one of the following forms [a] Bank Guarantee (BG) or [b] Demand Draft (DD)
Bid Opening :
Technical bids will be opened on 08/11/2013, if possible.
Financial Bids of only technically qualified bidders meeting will be opened on 15-11-2013, if possible.
Eligibility & Minimum Qualifying Criteria :
Experienced and Technically & financial resourceful Engineering Contractors registered in “AA” Class with Government of Gujarat or/and in the equivalent class with CPWD/ Railway /other State Government. The Contractor registered outside Gujarat shall apply for getting registered himself in “AA” class with the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited or the Narmada Water Resources and Water Supply Department of the Government of Gujarat before the date of submission of tender.
